Staying safe
What to do in an emergency, and how to avoid scams.
In an emergency
Call the local emergency number first: 112 anywhere in Europe, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US and Canada. Then contact us and choose "Safety" as the topic. Safety requests go to the top of our queue and we aim to answer within 15 minutes.
Avoid scams
- Always book and pay on Bookalizer. We will never ask you to pay by bank transfer, gift cards or crypto.
- Be careful if anyone asks you to message or pay outside Bookalizer, or sends you a link to a page that looks like ours.
- We will never ask for your password or full card number by email, message or phone.
Before you arrive
Read the house rules and check the home's safety features, such as smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, listed on its page.
Report a problem
If a home isn't as described, or a guest or host makes you feel unsafe, contact us. Tell us your booking code so we can act quickly.
