Listing review and license numbers

Why we check new homes, what we look for and which places need a license number.

To keep guests safe and listings honest, a person from our team checks each company's first home before it goes live. We aim to do this within 2 business days.

What we check

  • The photos and description match a real home and don't show anyone's personal details.
  • No phone numbers, emails or links that ask guests to book or pay outside Bookalizer.
  • The price, fees and house rules are clear and not misleading.
  • A license or registration number is included where the law requires one.

If we ask for changes

We'll email you the reason. Fix the listing and submit it again from your host workspace.

License and registration numbers

Some places require a number on every short-term rental listing, for example Scotland (short-term rental license), Paris (numéro d'enregistrement), Barcelona (HUTB license), Lisbon (Alojamento Local) and Amsterdam (registration number). London limits entire homes to 90 nights a year without planning permission. The listing editor tells you when a number is needed.

Paused listings

We may pause a live home if there's a safety concern or a serious rule break. We'll always tell you why, and existing bookings aren't affected.
