How booking works

From search to check-in: what happens when you book a home.

When you find a home you like, the price shown is the full price. It includes every mandatory fee, so there are no surprises at checkout.

1. Search and compare

  • Search by place, dates and guests. Every result shows the total price for your stay.
  • Use filters to narrow results, such as price range, home type or amenities.
  • Some results are adverts. They are always labelled "Sponsored" and never mixed into the order of real results.

2. Check the details

  • Read the description, photos and house rules.
  • Check the price breakdown: nights, cleaning fee, extra guests, any discount and our service fee.
  • Look at recent guest reviews to see what it's like to stay there.

3. Book and pay

  • Choose your dates, add guest details and confirm the booking.
  • Pay on Bookalizer. We hold your money until check-in, so if the host cancels you get a full refund.
  • You'll get an email confirmation with your booking code and the host's contact details.

4. Check in

  • The host will tell you how to get in, for example a self check-in code.
  • If anything is wrong when you arrive, contact us straight away. Choose "Safety" for urgent problems.

After your stay

  • You can leave a review within 14 days of check-out. Reviews help other guests and the host.
