How our service fee works
What the fee covers, who pays it and why every price is complete.
Bookalizer charges a service fee to guests, not hosts. It's shown inside every price before you book, so the total is always clear.
What it covers
- Payment processing, including chargebacks and fraud protection.
- Guest support in your language, before, during and after your stay.
- Keeping hosts' listings honest: we check new homes before they go live.
Who pays
- Guests pay the fee. Hosts receive their full price for the stay.
- The fee is a percentage of the host's price, currently 12 %%. It varies slightly by country because of local tax rules.
Why we do it this way
- Hosts keep 100% of their price, so they can set fair prices and stay competitive with their own website.
- Guests see one complete price, so comparing homes is fair and simple.
